The Day of the Show
The start of the day was pretty hectic, I slept in pretty late not realising the time. I quickly got ready rushing an outfit and getting a lift to the train station, almost missing my train to my dads. Luckily the train was delayed by 20 minutes so I hadn’t missed it at all. I got on the train and started listening to Those Damn Crows in preparation for the night. I arrived, getting off the train to then start driving down to Bristol. We made our way to ZaZa Bazaar and demolished so much food. I don’t think I have ever eaten so much food. We ate up and made our way to the O2.
The Cruel Knives
After waiting in line, luckily not for too long as we got there early enough, we got our drinks and waited for The Cruel Knives. Little did we know, those drinks were a terrible idea after eating so much food. Each sip or gulp felt like it was going down in lumps, so we saw the drinks off and out came The Cruel Knives. Usually I listen up on a band before hand, but this time I went in completely blind, and I am so glad I did. They were fantastic!! A mix of some good hold heavy rock and definitely some heavy metal influences. I was so ready to start a pit but I felt that the crowd wasn’t the right type of crowd for it, but my hair bobble quickly came undone so I could headbang my hair everywhere. They were a huge start with plenty of energy, huge riffs and killer solos. One hell of a start.
Those Damn Crows
Welcome to the main event of the evening. Those. Damn. Crows.
The crowd was going mad. The welsh powerhouses came out with huge energy, controlling the crowd with ease. Everyone jumping and dancing. They had me whipping my hair around and head banging till my neck was aching the next day. With huge songs such as Sin on Skin and Rock ’n’ Roll Ain’t Dead having the crowd moving and singing along. Going back and forth from the band to the crowd singing. I can’t say enough about how good the crowd interaction was. And they performed my favourite song of theirs!! They performed ‘Blink of an Eye’ and I was singing at the top my voice till my voice was hoarse. They sounded huge. And it was a wonderful memory to be able to share with my dad. And its safe to say that it’ll be a show and memory that ill remember.
