Eurekas are excited to announce the release of their fourth single, “Falling From Your Grace,” set to drop on Friday, May 31st, 2024. This highly anticipated track will be available on all major streaming platforms. Listen here.
What’s that old idiom? Hell hath no fury like an indie rock band scorned? Eurekas certainly make a case for it with their latest offering, “Falling From Your Grace.” The amps are cranked to 11, the riffs are nervy and antagonistic, and the lyrics are scathing towards the British political class. Their crime? Abandoning the last pretenses of honesty and decency in favor of their own increasingly deranged brands of moral duplicity. This is not a track to be skipped.
Jack Perrett, joint-lead singer and guitarist, reflects on the new single:
“Falling From Your Grace is nothing like any of our other songs, and it’s one I’m really proud of. The drop D tuning gives you a hint in which direction this song is going to go… Heavy guitars. Lyrically, the song is a reflection on how people in positions of power don’t have the moral compass to abide by the very rules they have created.”
Since forming in October 2021, the Eurekas have busily established themselves as ones to watch on the indie scene. They’ve built a local following off the back of multiple sold-out headline shows in Newport and Cardiff and have supported the likes of The Royston Club and Reverend and the Makers’ Jon McClure.
In 2023, their debut and sophomore singles, “Made You Look” and “Ivy,” were well received by highly regarded figures within the indie rock world, including legendary BBC 6 Music DJ Steve Lamacq. The tracks also garnered international attention, including airplay from US radio giants SiriusXM. More recently, their third single, “While The World Was Ending (I Was In A Rock & Roll Band)”, also received airtime from BBC Introducing and Amazing Radio.
Fans of Queens of the Stone Age, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, and The White Stripes will find much to love in the Eurekas’ sound.
Adam Walton of BBC Radio Wales praised their debut single, saying:
“A riff that could skewer the world… I’ve been waiting for a while to listen to some Eurekas and play them on the radio and it was worth the wait, let’s put it that way.”
