A trip to the cinema took an unexpected turn when thirty-nine weeks pregnant Sarah Vincent gave birth in the Cineworld foyer.
Not expecting to give birth for another six days, Sarah went to see a re-showing of the animated film Sing 2 with her family when all of a sudden she started feeling discomfort. Unsure what it was, she went to the bathroom which is when things started to get worse. After asking for someone to get her parents, the family tried to get her to her car when her waters broke in the foyer and she had no choice but to give birth right there in the cinema.
After help from the public and the cinema staff, Sarah gave birth to baby Lowri, weighing 7 pounds and one ounce in just 10 minutes!
Both mum and baby are doing really well.
Cineworld have said that they are giving the baby a free Cineworld unlimited membership for life.
Can you name the local place where young people are flocking to live?
Despite historically being home to an ageing population, young people have been flocking here due the the new additions and opportunities that the thriving town has to offer.
The town has a population of 33,000 and is typically known for its castle, cheese and gorgeous surroundings.
Recently, however, there has been a surge in the amount of young people that have been visiting, which might have something to do with the shipping container-style market ‘Ffos’ that has just opened. We know how young people like a trendy looking market.
It’s Caerphilly!
The locals rave about how the house prices are a lot more reasonable than Cardiff, and having the added bonus of less traffic.
Many young people that have moved to the town say that they didn’t expect there to be so much going on
With more and more people these days getting in touch with their creative sides, the opportunities in Caerphilly are growing as there are more ways for individuals to explore the route of being their own bosses.
This is huge for Caerphilly as it means that with more people growing to love it as a pace, it can only get better.
What are you doing on Friday 23rd of August?
Well, we are going to be at the Newport City Home Family fun day, and we want you there!
It’s taking place at Rodney Parade from 10am and there is all sorts of family fun to be had.
It will be jam packed with activities such as rugby skills with Dragons Rugby, face painting with Phatface Face Painting, balloon making and garden games, plus its free entry!
There will also be a live DJ along with arts and crafts and food stalls.
You’ll have the chance to speak to colleagues from Newport City Homes and Melin Home. We want to hear your views about the proposed merger.
Make sure we see you down there, it’s not a day to be missed.
