That’s right.
Marcus Russell, from Ebbw Vale was one of these men. It started when a friend of Russell’s had taken him to see the band in Manchester, and because Russell had previously managed one of Noel’s heroes, Noel requested to meet him and ‘pick his brains’. From this, the pair had a discussion and that was it. Russell was going to manage the band.
When asked what the pair were like to work with Russell said ‘“I get asked that a lot and the honest answer is most of the time it was great, it was fantastic,”.
The other welsh-Man who played a huge role in the band’s rise to fame is Owen Morris. Morris played a vital role in the band’s overall sound. After hitting a rut in the creation of one of their songs, the band didn’t know who to turn to, that was until Owen arrived on the scene. After using his expert techniques and working his magic on the song, the band quickly took him on as part of their team.
Did you know the band also recorded their first album in Wales?
So there you go, these two Welsh born and bred men helped oasis become who they are today, and we couldn’t be prouder.
The Clean Growth Hub, located on the Port of Barry, aims to attract companies involved in innovative industries such as battery materials, rare earth metal processing, and green energy manufacturing. It has been made possible by Associated British Ports (ABP) and px Group.
The hub is essentially a space where businesses focused on low-carbon-technology can thrive
What does this actually mean, though?
Well, it means that not only will hundreds of jobs be created in areas such as engineering, project management, construction, and renewable energy technology, but it means that the South of Wales will be well on its way to a much greener future.
A spokesperson for the company said ‘We’re confident that Barry has the potential to play a significant role in the UK’s green energy transition. We will, of course, work closely with both the UK and Welsh Governments as our plans for the Clean Growth Hub develop.’
It will definitely be exciting to see South Wales become more green.
