Gimme 5 – Ryan Keyse

Disney World, Florida. Went there as a kid so nostalgia’s doing a lot of heavy lifting, but visited recently with my family and it’s still incredible. You have to throw yourself into it, accept it’s ridiculously expensive and your feet will be in agony for weeks. But I think it’s healthy to believe in a little magic every now and then, be excited and childish. 

You’ll sulk and hate everyone around you for walking too slow, and then share an experience on a roller coaster or watching a show and feel like world peace is possible for about 90 seconds. Reality sets in and your neck hurts from the ride and you question why you’re buying a 20 dollar pin on a lanyard you won’t look at for 15 years. But it’s a good 90 seconds, and you’ll remember it when you see the pin. Find a good spot early for the fireworks, and don’t worry about people seeing you get emotional, they dim the lights.
