The South Wales Country Music Festival returns for its third year, transforming the Newport Corn Exchange into a slice of Nashville right in the heart of Wales. With an impressive lineup of award-winning artists, up-and-coming talent, and fun-filled activities, the 2024 festival promises a day packed with entertainment and an unforgettable country music experience.

  • Gary Quinn: An 8-time British Country Music Association Award winner, Gary Quinn has built an impressive reputation across the UK and beyond. Originally from Omagh, Northern Ireland, but now based in Manchester, Quinn has performed at the famous Bluebird Café in Nashville and collaborated with Grammy-winner Steve Mariner. His heartfelt performances and polished sound make him a festival favorite.

  • Jeremy McComb: Hailing from Idaho, this Nashville recording artist has explored every facet of the entertainment industry. With five albums under his belt and songs on a Grammy-nominated soundtrack (Blue Collar Comedy Tour – One for the Road), McComb’s storytelling and authentic country sound have earned him an international fan base and chart success.

  • Matt Hodges: A rising star from Wakefield, West Yorkshire, Matt Hodges is making waves in the UK country music scene. Voted the 2023 BCMA Male Artist of the Year, Matt’s career has taken him across Europe and the US, showcasing his powerful vocals and songwriting talent.

  • The Leylines: This West-Country-based group defies genres, blending folk, indie, and rock into a heart-pounding festival experience. Formed in 2013, The Leylines have become beloved across the UK live music scene, with lyrics touching on social issues, life on the road, and good times with friends.

  • KIER: At just 23 years old, KIER is poised to make a big impact with her genre-blending sound that incorporates country, folk, Americana, and pop. Her debut album, Welcome to the Strange Life, has already captured attention for its fearless and refreshing approach to country music.

  • Lianne Kaye: With over 10 million YouTube views, Lianne Kaye has built a loyal fan base for her pop-rock and country-inspired original music. Influenced by artists like Carrie Underwood and Michelle Branch, Lianne’s guitar-driven tracks and soaring ballads make her a standout performer.

  • Mikala Fredriksson: British country music artist Mikala Fredriksson released her debut single Ends in Your Tears ahead of her upcoming EP. Known for her powerful vocals and blues-influenced country sound, Mikala is an accomplished performer with over 15 years of experience on stages around the world.

South Wales’s very own Caitlin Mae who is now based in Nashville will be performing at an after-party to be held at McCanns music bar, opposite the Corn Exchange.
