Newport is about to boom. Meet Dimitri - Leader of the council
Sugar, spice and holiday delights!
Down in Cardiff, a special choir is hitting all the right notes—both musically and emotionally. The Forget-me-not Chorus (FMNC) is a lifeline for those living with dementia and their loved ones, offering a weekly escape filled with music, laughter, and connection.
Meeting every Thursday at Elfed Avenue United Church, the choir creates a space where memories resurface, and isolation fades. “Music is the last part of the brain to go,” says leader Nicki Rose, who’s been with FMNC since its early days. Singing familiar tunes sparks joy, reduces anxiety, and fosters a deep sense of belonging.
With free rehearsals across Wales, FMNC is more than a choir—it’s a community, a support system, and, as one member beautifully put it, “a spa for the soul.”
