Escape Rooms Newport set for huge announcements and a haircut..

Escape rooms Newport is set to relaunch on with a nice of top class comedy from some of the best up and coming comedians from around the UK on 3rd October with a Comedy Lock-In night. 

Chris and Ellie Chopping recently joined us on The Newport City Radio show to tell us what is in store.  

“Well, Chris, my hubby over there, he, as I say, is a stand up comedian. So we do what we know. So we’re basically to announce the launch and to make a few little announcements of some of our secret plans, we’re having a little comedy lock in. 

“I meet loads of brilliant comedians and we’ve got three of them that I know and are going to be really great fun and very funny, very good at what they do. We can bring them here to Newport, give everyone a good night and hopefully then when we’re telling them our plans for the escape room.”

Chris Chopping who will be the MC of the evening won’t just be performing he is also set to have his hair cut off in honour of charity.

“Chris has some very long, luscious locks over there. They’re getting the chop on the night. So we’re going to be doing a fundraiser for sponsoring him to have those lovely locks cut off. And on the night, I think I’m going to be the one with the scissors, I think.

“We’re doing it as a fundraiser for that, actually, is because also on the night, you will be able to attest to this. People obviously can’t see him, but Chris has some very long, luscious locks over there. 

“They’re getting the chop at night. So we’re going to be doing a fundraiser for sponsoring him to have those lovely locks cut off. And on the night, I think I’m going to be the one with the scissors, I think.

“So he’s going to be getting them chopped off to donate the actual hair itself to the Little Princess Trust, which if you don’t know about it, it’s a lovely… lovely, lovely charity that donates hair to make human hair wigs for children who’ve lost hair to cancer. So it’s a lovely, lovely cause. So yeah, we’re just doing a little donation through the tickets, but also doing like a separate Facebook fundraiser.

“Well, hopefully we can raise a bit of money for that and chop off all your hair, which hasn’t been short since probably pre -pandemic. The kids aren’t going to recognise me.”
