Breaking news: The supporting acts!

Get ready for Newport’s Countdown to Christmas on Saturday, November 16, from 2pm to 5.30pm! Join us for an afternoon of live music, fairground rides, and celebrity appearances, leading up to the big Christmas lights switch-on at 5.15pm and an amazing fireworks finale at 5.30pm. The line-up features local stars provided by us, including Ryan Keyse and the Nightshift, multi-instrumentalist Caitlin Lavagna, and singer Callum Richards, with the main support act being rising dance star Alimish. Plus, don’t miss performances from the Riverfront Theatre’s Dick Whittington cast and our friends at Urban Circle.

Organised by Newport Now BID, Newport City Council, Friars Walk, and Newport City Radio, and funded by the Shared Prosperity Fund, this event promises to be a festive highlight.

Free parking in council car parks will be available on Saturdays from November 16 until December 31. Stay tuned for the reveal of the headlining act and special guest!
