What is Cake Lab?

I’m Rafia and I am a Welsh mum who loves getting creative with cake!

So I used to bake from home alongside my full- time job as a teaching assistant but I always had a dream of opening a little shop of my own. Fortunately, this shop came up and my husband said let’s take a chance and we did. It will be 2 years in June. I love baking and creating cakes for special occasions.

Every day is different, I still have lots to learn. Living in Newport is very different to living elsewhere as it’s nice and quiet, no one really bothers you and people are friendly. My Family are my biggest supporters.

My shop is in Grafton Road, Newport.
