A. I've been a mobile and karaoke DJ for 23 years. About 15 years ago I started DJing in the clubs too.
A. I used to be known as Karaoke Kim. No that I'm a club DJ, I'm DJ Kim.
A. I was in an all girl band Hands Of Nemesis gigging around the circuit: TJ's, Riverside, Le Pub and so on. Most of the 90's, I was singing, writing songs and playing guitar. I've been doing that since I was a kid in the early 80's. DJing seemed the next natural thing to do. I used to play my music at street parties. It just went from there.
A. My first single was Kim WIlde's Kids In America.I think the first album I bought may have been Breaking Glass by Hazel O'Connor. Most of the time though, me and the other kids would tape the top 40 on Sunday on Radio 1. Or we'd tape Top of the Pops on a Thursday. You'd put the mic up close to the TV or radio and try to be really quiet while the music was being recorded! Like most of my friends, I was big into Ska at that time and most of my music was Ska. My little brother Mark Harry, is founder of the band 2Rude, known as the UK's No. 1 Ska tribute band!
A. I usually spent my pocket money on 10 fags and a creme egg from the mobile shop. I liked Sherbert Dib Dabs & Double Lollies too!
A. I have my beloved dog Cindy who is 15 years old this year and still as crazy as when she ate an entire fridge freezer as a pup. I don't mean the food from the freezer - I mean the actual fridge freezer! It was and old one waiting for collection and she ripped the inside plastic parts out, all of the foam filling and pulled the doors completely off. She chewed it all to bits. That's what being a DJ is all about - you leave your dog in the house alone while you're at work and they make you pay!
A. Definitely Summer... Work related again, there's nothing worse than carrying your equipment through snow and rain.
A. I've never been to Florida, so I'd like to go there.
A. I'm a vegetarian, so anything on the plate that didn't have a face.
A. I love Paloma Faith at the moment. I went to see her last year, she's an amazing performer who knows how to capture an audience.
A.With my partner and kids, outside or in. I have the most amazing family and we are all as crazy as each other, so there's never a dull moment.
