Newport Food Festival will return to the city centre this year on Saturday
11 October 2025. The popular food market, chef demonstrations, workshops
and entertainment will take place as usual on the Saturday. Free to attend, no booking required.

Activities, workshops and entertainment
A food festival isn’t complete without activities, workshops and entertainment. There will be plenty going on throughout the day for all the whole family.
Mercure Hotel
9am : Drop in Community Coffee Day
Hosted by Newport council’s Age Friendly Communities team with free talks and activities taking place including:
A talk on Food Through the Ages, Presented by Past Port Tours.
Food Nostalgia Experience – Exploring how memory, identity and emotion are tied to food.
Global recipe swap – Share recipes from your culture and discover new ones.
There will also be free tea, coffee and cake provided.
Cook Stars
Free cookery workshops for ages 2 – 17 years.

10am – 4pm: Free arts and crafts from Newport City Council’s youth and play service.
